Baga Gazriin Chuluu is a picturesque granite formation in the middle of the Gobi desert elevating up to 1768 metres and occupying 300 sq.km area. It is situated from 230kms away from Ulaanbaatar. The area is studded with rounded rock formations, perched beside dramatic granite gorges and small valleys. The ruins of an old temple and rock drawings can be found in the mountains. This is also an area popular with wildlife enthusiasts as it is home to vultures, hawks and eagles.
The granite formation contains remains of old temple ruins related with 17th century, cave Jargalant and eye spring.
This is a perfect destination for hiking and scrambling.
